FAQ

Why China?

We first went to China in 2002 and have felt a connection to the country and its people since then. In 2007 we volunteered at a healing home for orphaned children with medical needs in Beijing. Soon after, I became a volunteer with Love Without Boundaries in the foster care programme. One day we plan to adopt from China.

What does $1,000 mean to a child in need?

The amount we are intending to raise is $1,000 per child. This sum can pay for life-saving cleft lip repair surgery, provide quality foster care for a child who would otherwise live in an orphanage, provide education for an orphaned child to give them the best start in life or provide vital nutrition to a child with medical needs. It can also make a large contribution towards the cost of larger medical costs, such as heart surgery.

What will happen to the money?

Every cent we raise will be given to the children of China. Our aim is to raise $10,000 for Love Without Boundaries, a non-profit organisation committed to the care of orphaned and impoverished children in China. A copy of the receipt will be available on this site. Anything we raise over our target will be given to New Hope Foundation, where we volunteered in 2007.
