What’s it all about?
In short, we have set ourselves a challenge: to raise $10,000 for charity in time for our tenth wedding anniversary in October this year. We have been involved with volunteering and fundraising for orphaned children in China since early 2007 and we have decided that we would like to raise $10,000 to be shared amongst 10 orphaned children in China for our 10th wedding anniversary in the 10th month of this year. To do this, we are asking people to contribute 10 units of their local currency, be it dollars, cents, pounds, pence, yen, rupees, rand, dirhams, etc. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
We believe that social networking is the number one communication method for fundraising and therefore we want everyone to tweet about us, post about us on Facebook or blog about us so that we can reach our target.
The money raised will be given to Love Without Boundaries, a 501(c)(3) charity in the state of Oklahoma to be divided between 10 children across their programmes. To find out more about Love Without Boundaries, click here
